This piece is entitled Sunday’s Best.
It carries one statement, and perhaps one question:
What does it truly mean to show up for the Lord?
Sunday’s Best has always represented more than clothing. It refers to a person’s finest, most presentable attire, traditionally reserved for church, weddings, and moments of deep importance. It is the act of dressing with intention, reverence, and respect.
But somewhere along the way, we have normalised showing up to Mass as if it were ordinary. Street clothes, slides, shorts, and sweats have become acceptable in a place that is anything but ordinary.
This piece is a call to go beyond the standard. To resist conformity. To be set apart. To recognise that Mass is not just another part of the week, but the very heart of what it means to be Catholic.
It is where we come before the Lord in awe of His wonder. It is where heaven meets earth. It is where we are invited to bring our whole selves before Him, not casually, but with love, honour, and intention.
Just as we dress with care for a wedding, we are called to approach the Lord with the same reverence. Not because He demands perfection, but because He deserves our best.
Sunday’s Best is not about appearance. It is about devotion
Are you ready to make that change?
